Objectives
The students will:

  • Gain an understanding of the role of the Supreme Court in American society.
  • Be able to identify John Marshall and Andrew Jackson.
  • Explain the facts and Constitutional issues involved in the case, Worcester v. Georgia.
  • Be able to explain the role of the president in enforcing court decisions.
  • Identify the significance of the "Trail of Tears."
